T-Mobilitat

The project aims to implement new transport system of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, T-Mobilitat, based on the Ticketing system and validation of transport cards. In this way, the entire range of tickets and cards using traditional magnetic technology will be gradually replaced. T-Mobilitat is based on transport and innovation technology, and its structure focuses on the implementation of a Contactless card that allows users to use it on the bus, underground, train and tram network, top them up according to your routine, route and frequency of your transport. The data that T-Mobilitat acquires from its users, will be used to improve the planning and management of the transport system with respect to the usage of the different services it provides. With regard to the sale of T-Mobilitat transport cards, it is designed to be particularly convenient for users. There will be authorized places which will be selling these cards, such as underground stations and commercial establishments, like corner shops or newsagents. In addition, its functionality also includes the use of mobile apps as a means of information and sale of full and auditable cards, as well as the replacement of the card. The project is supported by the Authoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) and Barcelona is the city chosen to be the first to use this technology, followed by other cities of Catalonia.
