The project aims to develop and deliver the Imaging and Slitless Spectroscopy Instrument for Surveys (ISSIS) for the World Space Observatory / Ultra Violet (WSO / UV), a mission that aims to observe the universe in the ultraviolet range, which It is led by the Space Agency of the Russian Federation (ROSCOSMOS). In the field of space research and technology, the WSO / UV represents the largest joint contribution between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Spain for cooperation in space exploration. The latter is in charge of contributing ISSIS, contributing in a relevant way in the ground segment of the mission, whose in-flight operation will be shared between Moscow and Madrid. ISSIS is the first instrument developed for ultraviolet imaging, which operates in Earth's orbit above 35,000 kilometers above the surface. Its main function is to make highly sensitive observations in the UV range and to make it possible to observe the halos of galaxies and young planetary systems. It has a compact and versatile design, consisting of two highly sensitive ultraviolet detectors capable of spectroscopy in both the far and near ultraviolet (120 nm).
