The main objective of the project is the development of SITRA +, a new application for the regulation and management of train traffic and circulation of the Administrator of Railway Infrastructures (ADIF). The functionality of this project is extended to the entire railway network, both conventional and metric gauge and high speed. SITRA + is a critical system that regulates the operation of the network that offers real-time data and integrates the various railway operation systems that ADIF has. This new application represents an improvement in its functionalities incorporating technologies such as artificial intelligence. It has an architecture that facilitates its development, evolution and maintenance, resulting in considerable cost savings. This system will provide added value such as monitoring and location services for trains (characteristics of the railway units, types of tracks, circulation routes, schedules, crossing points, detection of contingencies, among others. In addition to feeding information to other systems external as the traveler information to reinforce the positive user experience. SITRA + replaces Da Vinci, the old rail traffic control and management system for Spanish high-speed lines. The main novelty of this system is that it will incorporate an automatic train numbering / router, through which operators will have a tool to assist them in traffic regulation tasks, thus facilitating their work.
